“the sea endlessly swirls and shape-shifts, i want to mimic its deep curiosities through my jewellery”
Serena Fox is a designer, carver and jeweller whose work is instantly recognisable — and internationally recognised.
Throughout her travels she absorbs colour, a habit that turns each trip into a design dream giving clarity, and character. Especially evocative of our oceans, an ever moving environment that she draw inspiration from and will be directly seen amongst her work.
Her designs draw from underwater plant and marine life — fluid, organic forms, occasionally interrupted by flora and fauna from the land — and are brought to life with fine coloured gemstones chosen to echo the colours she's seen firsthand, from British coastlines to waters much further afield.
A Freeman of the Goldsmiths' Company, she exhibits regularly at the Goldsmiths' Fair in London, a showcase reserved for jewellers whose hand-making skill, technical finish, and authentic creative voice meet the highest bar in the industry.
Beyond the fair, Serena welcomes visitors by appointment to her London workshop — to view a piece in person, or begin a conversation about a bespoke commission of your own.
Every piece is designed by Serena and made in her London workshop, alongside the team she shares with her husband, Richard.

Serena trained at the Camberwell College of Art in London, where years of dedicated study shaped both her technical skill and her creative instinct. It was there she was introduced to a mentor, Richard Fox — who she later married, and remains happily married to today. The two have shared a life of craft and adventure ever since: Richard now works in large-scale sculptural silversmithing, while Serena found her calling in fine jewellery design. Together, under the FOX name, they've built something rare — a genuine creative partnership.
DIVE INTO SERENA’S JOURNEY
Serena's earliest love was lost wax casting. A skilled illustrator, she began by carving intricate animal forms — cast in silver, each one capturing a playful, curious likeness of its subject. That fascination with living form evolved naturally into her enduring obsession: the creatures of the sea, which remain at the heart of her work today.
❋
Serena grew up in the countryside, surrounded by rolling hills — a landscape that, if anything, only sharpened her longing for the world beyond it. She grew up on stories of distant shores and far-flung adventure, dreaming of tropical waters long before she ever swam in them. That early wanderlust never left her; it simply found its way into her hands, and became the sea that now runs through almost everything she makes.
Ethically Sourced Jewels
Serena's material is never chosen at random. Her gemstones are sourced ethically, through friends she has entrusted for years. She looks for the same qualities in a stone that she finds in the sea: depth, movement, the sense that something is alive beneath the surface.
Already own a jewel with a story of its own? Bring it to Serena. A treasured stone can be reset, reimagined, or given an entirely new setting — nothing is ever really finished, only waiting for its next form
